Ski resorts across Europe and the US have welcomed the first major snowfall of the year, as ABTA launched a campaign to encourage skiers to get appropriate travel insurance for their trips.

The recent collapse of travel agent Holidays 4U has left a large number of Brits needing to rebook their holidays for August at the very last minute.

Holidays 4U – an online travel agent specialising in Turkey holidays – has ceased trading.
